Pro Mech Ground Support Systems part of the Conquip group, adopted CoreRFID’s CheckedOK inspection reporting software in 2018, shortly after launching its lifting services division, and hasn’t looked back since. Alongside its inspection work, CheckedOK’s asset register export software has saved the company hours of admin time and helped it win new clients.
The lifting services team now consists of 10 staff based at the firm’s headquarters in Fareham, Hampshire, providing LOLER and PUWER inspections throughout the south of England. Clients include Tier 1 contractors, and the team has worked on high-profile projects including Crossrail, HS2, and the M23 and M27 upgrades.
Before adopting CheckedOK, engineers carrying out inspections recorded results manually, taking notes on site and bringing them back to the office to be typed up. The process was cumbersome and led to delays in sending certificates to customers.
They now capture data on mobile devices on site, with reports generated automatically, saving time and removing the need for paperwork. This gives the company same-day reporting, while clients can log into the system any time to check the status of their equipment.
