AmSafe Bridport, the world’s leading supplier of pallet nets and cargo equipment to global passenger and freight airlines has ordered over 7,000 RFID tags to date (Aug 2026). The aviation industry demands a high level of identification and traceability as part of its drive to improve safety and security and is increasingly turning to specialised aviation RFID tagging to achieve it. It also supports the automation of operational processes, helping track millions of dollars’ worth of assets used in air transport.
Aviation RFID tagging to industry standard

Aircraft manufacturers require nets and related parts to carry tags that align to the ATA2000 standard, which defines tag characteristics and data content for aircraft parts and other flyable assets. Tags must carry data in the ATA2000 format, covering material type, origination record and maintenance history.
Tags also need to meet SAE AS5678 for performance and certification.
Working with aviation RFID tagging worldwide
Amsafe Bridport are specialists in a range of products covered by ATA2000, including airframe restraints and cargo handling and movement systems. They chose CoreRFID for our expertise in the field, our UK base and an existing partnership with manufacturer Tego.
Since 2013, AmSafe Bridport has ordered around 550 Tego Edge tags a year from CoreRFID to identify air cargo pallet nets fitted to aircraft.
Work began in the UK, home to AmSafe Bridport’s headquarters, R&D and engineering functions. The implementation then extended to Sri Lanka following the expansion of its manufacturing plant there in 2019. The relationship has evolved over more than a decade, with CoreRFID supporting AmSafe Bridport through changes in tag and IC technology and the handheld devices used to read them.
In July 2026, AmSafe Bridport ordered a three-year renewal of its software, continuing a relationship that’s spanned multiple generations of tagging technology.
