How ITS Lifting Uses CheckedOK’s Online Asset Management System to Win Client Trust

When two inspection engineers joined forces to set up ITS Lifting in 2023, technology was at the top of their agenda.

Danny Pedder and Ryan Devonshire wanted to strike a professional note from the start by getting the right systems in place. The two men, who both have over 15 years’ experience in the lifting industry, aimed to create an independent firm offering expert advice but with the type of pro-active service and personal touch that bigger companies often lack.

ITS was one of the first to adopt the SaaS (Software as a service) version of CheckedOK, which aims to bring the benefits of the software to a wider audience through an affordable monthly subscription.

CheckedOK has not only helped them improved efficiency by automating inspection reports but also become a key selling point. ITS promotes its use of technology on its website and the system has helped it to secure clients with over 2,000 different assets.

CheckedOK provides an online asset management system for the company and its customers. Danny Pedder explains:

“It gives our customers an electronic inventory which they can use to download certificates or quickly search to check the status of an item and the length of time before the next inspection. They find it much better than a paper folder or trying to search through pdf files.”

The system has also removed the need for ITS engineers to type up reports in the evenings. Now they simply record inspections on an iPad on site and reports and certificates are produced automatically.

They can also organise jobs such as maintenance and repairs while out on site and delegate them to the right person in the team.

ITS now employs an X-strong team and delivers services including LOLER and PUWER inspection, proof load testing and fixing pull tests, as well as servicing and repairs. Customers range from recycling and construction sites to garages and schools.

CheckedOK has become a core feature of the company’s operation. Danny adds: “The system has been a marvellous help for our business. We do rely on it and in fact everything we do is built around it. Having gone on to CheckedOK and felt the benefits, there is no way we could go back.”
