Rather than migrate years of records across, TEC made a clean break. They left their old system behind entirely and started fresh in CheckedOK, rebuilding their asset register from scratch.
Getting started
Switching hose inspection software is usually the hard part, and most teams put it off for exactly that reason. TEC currently has around 3,000 hose assemblies logged in CheckedOK, managed day to day by five engineers, with new assets being assembled daily and more active systems not yet due for inspection.
Working alongside technology partner CoreRFID, TEC implemented an RFID and QR-enabled asset management system. Both TEC engineers and TEC customers use this workflow for instant access to inspection histories and compliance records in the field.

TEC’s ambition extends beyond digitising inspections.
