FOR REAL TIME VISIBILITY OF YOUR ENTIRE OPERATION
You’ve invested thousands in systems to track your inventory, workforce, and assets – but you’re still lacking visibility because the physical world can’t talk to your software.
RFID integration fixes that. Connect real-time tracking directly to your existing business systems – ERP platforms, warehouse management software, HR systems, access control, safety management tools – whatever you’re running. Your systems stop showing you where things should be and start showing you where they actually are.
CoreRFID, the UK’s leading independent RFID specialist, has delivered RFID integration for nearly 20 years; connecting physical entities to business systems across manufacturing, logistics, construction, hospitality and facilities management. We’ve worked with the likes of Ocado, Syngenta, Vitafoam and Vaillant, supplying and integrating RFID hardware with everything from legacy Sage installations to industry leading ERP systems.
Tags can cost pennies. So why do RFID projects typically start at £10,000?
The tags are about 5% of the investment. Readers, antennas, middleware, integration work, positioning everything correctly in your environment – that’s the real cost. That’s also where DIY attempts fail.
We’ve rescued failed projects where businesses bought hardware, couldn’t get reliable reads, and gave up.
Read distance and orientation problems? Positioning and hardware selection fix it. Can’t connect to your systems? We build the middleware using the latest technology such as Active Server Pages (ASP).
RFID connects your physical operations to the software running your business. We integrate with:
ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage 1000, Business Central)
Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Production and Manufacturing Systems (SolutionsPT, G42)
Supply chain and logistics software
Time and attendance platforms
HR and Payroll systems
Access control systems
Health and Safety management software
Project Management tools
No API? No problem!
We can link to systems that do no support API’s or ASP using traditional file transfer methods.
Whether you’re tracking stock movements through a warehouse, monitoring components or sub-assemblies on a production line, managing staff across multiple sites, or controlling access to secure areas – the technology works the same way. RFID transmits real-time data, our integration layer connects it to your business systems.
You can also combine RFID with QR codes, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), or real-time location systems (RTLS) depending on what different parts of your operation need.
Whether you’re running off-the-shelf software or a system built specifically for your operation, we can create the connection. Our approach:
Most modern systems have APIs we can connect to directly, passing RFID data in real-time with minimal disruption to your existing setup.
For older systems or complex requirements, we build the bridge layer that translates RFID reads into data your software understands.
For systems built on ASPs, we work with your IT team to design the data formatting needed to pass RFID information into your software
Your IT team reviews and approves the technical approach. We handle the implementation work. The result: RFID data updates your systems automatically – updating stock levels and production schedules, logging personnel movements, triggering workflows, and generating compliance records.
We visit your facility to understand the physical environment, review your current systems, and map your workflows. Metal structures, temperature extremes, required read distances, integration points, other radio frequencies in use. We document what matters.
Using that assessment, we design a system that works for your space and requirements. We'll tell you if something won't work before you spend money on it. We recommend specific tags, readers, positioning, and create the integration architecture.
Before full rollout, we implement a small-scale pilot where required. This proves the technology works in your actual environment, not just in theory. We refine the configuration based on results and use the pilot data to determine the final design.
We provide all necessary hardware (tags, readers, antennas) and design/develop the RFID software (when needed) to collect data plus the integration layer connecting to your business systems.
We advise on the system installation, complete testing, and can even train your team. Projects typically take 3-6 months from first contact to go-live, depending on complexity and scope.
Integrated RFID with production systems at Syngenta’s plant to track ingredients and industrial bulk containers in real-time. Reduced wastage, increased capacity, gave visibility into materials that manual tracking couldn’t deliver.
Designed custom RFID tags to track robots in one of the world’s most advanced automated warehouses for Ocado. Solved unique challenges in a high-tech environment where off-the-shelf solutions wouldn’t work.
Staff at Vitafoam were losing hours daily searching for products in the warehouse. RFID tracking cut search time dramatically, improved despatch speed, and raised customer service standards.
Partnering with Vinetree, we’ve integrated RFID with HR and time management systems across construction, hospitality, retail, and sports facilities.
Real-time data flowing into existing business systems (ERP, WMS, HR, access control). Tracking across multiple locations or throughout complex processes. Automated reporting that eliminates manual touchpoints. Solutions for significant operational volumes or intricate workflows.
If you’re managing smaller volumes or don’t need system integration, our RFID Shop site offers fast-turnaround hardware orders (typically under 100 tags) without the consultancy layer. However, we are always a phone call away if you have any questions.
We’ll visit your facility, review your systems, and provide an honest feasibility assessment.
No obligation – if RFID integration isn’t right for your situation, we’ll tell you.
